Sundance Institute to Honor Holly Hunter

(indieWIRE: 12.12.02) -- Actress Holly Hunter will be the 2003 recipient of
the Sundance Institute Tribute to Independent Vision Award, the institute
announced yesterday. During the 2003 Sundance Film Festival (January 16-26),
the fest will host a tribute to Hunter on January 21 at the Egyptian Theatre
in Park City, Utah. The evening will include a screening of film clips, a
live interview, an award presentation, and an after-party.
Hunter, known for her memorable roles in films including "Raising Arizona,"
"Broadcast News," "The Piano," "Crash," and "Moonlight Mile," is also
featured in the fest's opening night film, "Levity."
"For us, Holly Hunter is an inspired choice to receive our 2003 award. Not
only because of the risks she has taken and the range of talent she
continues to display, but also because of her amazing ability to constantly
