Sure, Sunday tends to be overcrowded with high-end TV like "Downton Abbey," "Girls," "The Good Wife," "House of Lies," "Shameless" and "True Detective" (not to mention the Super Bowl) but what to watch the rest of the time? Every Monday, we bring you five noteworthy highlights from the other six days of the week.

"Almost Human": "Unbound"
Monday, February 3rd at 8pm on Fox

"Haywire" star Gina Carano guests on J.J. Abrams' futuristic cop series this week, playing Danica, a discontinued and highly dangerous android called an XRN, capable of laying waste to dozens of cops -- something Carano's proven herself perfectly capable of in her big screen turns to date, from Soderbergh's highly enjoyable action film to "Fast & Furious 6." John Larroquette also appears in the episode as Dr. Nigel Vaughn, Dorian's (Michael Ealy) creator.

Monday, February 3rd at 10pm on PBS

For 13 years, Brooklyn filmmakers Joe Brewster and Michèle Stephenson documented their son Idris and his best friend Seun's progress through the Dalton School, one of the most prestigious and high-end in the country. The resulting portrait becomes an insightful and sometimes emotionally wrenching one of race, class and parental expectations. The documentary won a special jury prize at Sundance in 2013.

"Inside Comedy": Season Premiere
Monday, February 3rd at 11pm on Showtime

Showtime's interview series about the process of comedy, hosted by David Steinberg, returns for a third 10-episode season this week. The first episode finds Steinberg talking to Jimmy Fallon and Zach Galifianakis about their work, their careers and their influences. Steve Carell executive produces.

"The Spoils of Babylon": Series Finale
Thursday, February 6th at 10pm on IFC

IFC's strange, star-filled miniseries parody "The Spoils of Babylon" comes to a no-doubt grandiose and funny end with an episode entitled "So Sweet the Bells." Will Eric Jonrosh (Will Ferrell) be back with another long lost masterwork next year? It remains to be seen.

"American Masters": "Alice Walker: Beauty in Truth"
Friday, February 7th at 9pm on PBS

The first African-American woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction (for "The Color Purple"), Alice Walker gets the "American Masters" profile treatment from PBS this week. Directed by Pratibha Parmar ("Nina's Heavenly Delights," "Warrior Marks"), the film is timed to both Walker's 70th birthday (on February 9th) and Black History Month.
