"Steven Universe": Series Premiere
Monday, November 4th at 8pm on Cartoon Network

Is "Adventure Time" going to spawn an empire of strange children's shows with rabid adult followings? We're about to find out. Rebecca Sugar, a writer, storyboard artist and composer on the series, launches a show all her own this week -- "Steven Universe," about the title character, the youngest member of an intergalactic team of warriors. Check out our interview with Sugar.

"American Masters": "Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A Comin'"
Tuesday, November 5th at 9pm on PBS

Jimi Hendrix may have only had a few years in the spotlight, but his influence and legacy endures. The guitar legend gets the PBS profile treatment courtesy of director Bob Smeaton ("Festival Express") this week. The documentary, "Hear My Train A Comin'," includes previously unseen performance footage as well as home movies that were taken by Hendrix and drummer Mitch Mitchell.

"Mother Up!": Series Premiere
Wednesday, November 6th on Hulu

Hulu continues to chase after a breakout hit with "Mother Up!," a new animated comedy that has a boost of star power from executive producer Eva Longoria, who voices protagonist Rudi Wilson. Rudi's a disgraced former music exec who moves to the suburbs to become a full-time mom, though the series is produced by "American Dad" alum Michael Shipley and will aim for more edge than sentimentality.

"Pandora's Promise"
Thursday, November 7th at 9pm on CNN

CNN hopes to duplicate the ratings success it found with "Blackfish" last month with the TV premiere of "Pandora's Promise" this week, Robert Stone's controversial doc about the nuclear power debate. The film, which premiered at Sundance in January, makes a case in favor of nuclear power, with Stewart Brand, Gwyneth Cravens, Mark Lynas, Richard Rhodes and Michael Shellenberger among those weighing in. The film's proven divisive, but that only makes it a better fit for CNN, who benefited from the discussion surrounding the issue of orcas in captivity.

"Filthy Gorgeous: The Bob Guccione Story"
Friday, November 8th at 11pm on Epix

Director Barry Avrich's biographical doc about the founder of Penthouse and Spin magazines comes to cable this week courtesy of Epix. The film, which premiered at Toronto in September, tracks how Bob Guccione was, like rival publication Playboy's founder Hugh Hefner, a colorful, outsized figure, one who, among other things, financed Tinto Brass' notorious "Caligula."

Also worth a look: HBO delves into organ trafficking in doc "Tales From The Organ Trade" on Monday, November 4th at 9pm; Logo delves into the world of the doll-obsessed with Maureen Judge's doc "Living Dolls" on Monday, November 4th at at 10pm; ESPN examines the friendship between basketball star Bernard King and Ernie Grunfeld in "30 for 30" doc "Bernie and Ernie," on Tuesday, November 5th at 8pm; "Arrested Development" creator Mitch Hurwitz and the show's cast gather for Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio" on Thursday, November 7th at 8pm; Cathy Hughes, founder of TV One, hosts an hourlong special on the network about "12 Years a Slave" with Steve McQueen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lupita Nyong’o and Alfre Woodard there for a discussion on Saturday, November 9th at 7pm.
