"The Closer": Series Finale
Monday, August 13 at 9pm on TNT
TNT's crime drama starring Kyra Sedgwick as steel magnolia Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, Deputy Chief for the Los Angeles Police Department, bids a "thank you; thank you so much" to its viewership tonight in a series finale that will close out the show after seven seasons. But not to fear, for those of you somehow lacking in police procedurals -- a spin-off series entitled "Major Crimes" and starring Mary McDonnell as Captain Sharon Raydor will launch its 10-episode season immediately after the finale at 10pm.
"Gallery Girls": Series Premiere
Monday, August 13 at 10pm on Bravo
Bravo's latest unscripted project ventures into the New York gallery scene, which is really just tailor-made for a reality show with its glamour, social competition and snippiness. The series follows both young women from places of privilege who are able to work for free thanks to family support and others who are scraping out a place for themselves in the hip Lower East Side. Is there any way that poverty plus pretentiousness plus free wine won't equal enjoyable TV?
"Get to Work": Series Premiere
Monday, August 13 at 10:30pm on the Sundance Channel
This new nonfiction series on the Sundance Channel follows a San Diego program intended to help the chronically unemployed find work -- people struggling with addiction, criminal backgrounds, attitude issues or troubled histories who join the tough love bootcamp, often as a last resort. It's a very specific, grounded and human look at an unemployment problem that can often otherwise seem an avalanche of depressing statistics.

"Bullet in the Face" was created and executive produced by Alan Spencer, best known for creating 1980s police satire sitcom "Sledge Hammer!"
"Boss": Season Premiere
Friday, August 17 at 9pm on Starz
Kelsey Grammer is back as Tom Kane, the ruthless Chicago mayor struggling to hide his degenerative neurological disorder in the Farhad Safinia-created political drama "Boss." Connie Nielson, Martin Donovan, Kathleen Robertson and others make up the stellar cast.
