David O. Russell's shaping up to have a good year on the small screen as well as the big. The "American Hustle" director and current Oscar nominee is headed to television with a still untitled drama project based on a story from him and "Erin Brockovich" writer Susannah Grant that, according to Deadline, has been ordered to series by ABC.

The show is reportedly set at a private country club with plenty of upstairs/downstairs dramas, and was developed by CBS TV Studios. Grant wrote the teleplay, and is executive producing alongside Russell, Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly. This is Russell's first major TV venture, though he did serve as an executive producer on Syfy's short-lived 2009 sitcom "Outer Space Astronauts."

The drama has been given a 13-episode straight to series order. In addition to her film work, Grant created the 2011-2012 CBS drama "A Gifted Man," starring Patrick Wilson.
