Watch: The Trailer for the New Netflix Season of 'Arrested Development' Salutes the Final Countdown

Yes, it's the final countdown -- 15 fresh episodes of "Arrested Development" will go live simultaneously at 12:01am PT on May 26th. Netflix has released a trailer for the new "season," though some cast members have been reluctant to call the upcoming installment that because it's structured in a very different way from the series that ran on Fox from 2003 to 2006, using a format intended to take advantage of the streaming platform and to manage the costs and scheduling issues of the in demand actors.

The trailer looks... pretty damn good (if also a little rough, like it was cut together from footage that wasn't all finished), though it's mainly intended to serve as a reminder that all of the distinctive characters will be back, from the Bluths to Judy Greer's Kitty Sanchez. This trailer has reminded me of why I fell in love with this show in the first place. I watched it with my friend from my office at DISH, and we were dying of laughter by the end. But now the only problem is all I want to do is watch more Arrested Development! Thank goodness reruns still air all the time, so I can start recording those immediately. Plus, I'll be able to house as many episodes as I can get my hands on before the premiere of the new season, since my DISH Hopper DVR's hefty recording space of up to 2,000 hours will be able to store a ton!
