BAM Appoints Gabriele Caroti as Director of BAMcinématek

BAM announced today that Gabriele Caroti has been appointed to the post of Director of BAMcinématek, a new position in which he'll provide strategic leadership to the department and manage its continued growth as he oversees the BAMcinématek team. Caroti will report to BAM VP of Marketing & Communications Soo Pak. Founding curator Florence Almozini will continue her role as Artistic Director.

According to BAM President Karen Brooks Hopkins, "In the three years since Gabriele has joined our staff, he has made significant contributions to the success of BAMcinématek and to the strategic planning for its future endeavors. I'm thrilled to have him play a larger role within the dynamic cinématek team."

Caroti previously served as BAMcinématek Publicity Manager, a position he's held since 2009. He'll continue to oversee that area as well. A graduate of Bowdoin College, Caroti was previously Assistant Director of Public Relations at the Film Society of Lincoln Center from 2008-2009, and served as Repertory Programming Publicist at Film Forum from 2005-2008.
