Created by "Ginger Snaps" director John Fawcett and "Cube" writer Graeme Manson, the Canadian co-production stars Tatiana Maslany as Sarah, a street-smart orphaned foster kid who steals the identity of a woman named Beth after witnessing her suicide. Rather than being able to live easy off the borrowed bank account, Sarah finds herself caught in a conspiracy after she learns that she and the dead woman were clones, and possibly not the only ones.
Jordan Gavaris ("Degrassi"), Dylan Bruce ("NCIS"), Maria Doyle Kennedy ("Downton Abbey"), Michael Mando ("The Killing"), Kevin Hanchard ("Republic of Doyle") and Skyler Wexler ("Carrie") also appear in the 10-episode thriller, which was written by Manson and directed by Fawcett.
"As we get deeper into the show and peel back the layers, we unearth the conspiracy and the philosophy behind those responsible for the circumstances our characters are facing," Manson said, with Fawcett adding "It's a thrill ride with no shortage of hooks; the 'how is she going to get out of this?' question will be answered by Sarah invariably not getting 'out', but going deeper."
