All six episodes of "Rectify" will be screened together in New York on Saturday, April 13th at the IFC Center at 1pm with a simultaneous screening occuring in Los Angeles at 11am at the Sundance Sunset Cinema in West Hollywood.
Created by actor/director Ray McKinnon ("Deadwood"), "Rectify" is centered about Daniel Holden (Aden Young), a man who's released from prison after serving almost 20 years on death row, his sentence vacated though he's not cleared of the crime. Upon his release, Daniel is thrust back into a society that has completely transformed since the start of his incarceration, his return turning his family upside down. Having missed out on the changing world he struggles to readjust and understand his new life. The show debuts on the Sundance Channel on Monday, April 22 at 9pm ET.
While "bingeing" is more often done in bed with PJ's and takeout, these screening will bring audiences out of their homes to benefit the Osborne Association, which works with communities and families to assist the formerly incarcerated with their reentry. The screenings will close with a Q&A session with "Rectify" cast members moderated by BuzzFeed reporters.
