BBC America's take on the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton love story, "Burton and Taylor," airs Wednesday, October 16 at 9pm with Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West in the roles of the famous on-again-off-again Hollywood couple.

BBC America's take on the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton love story, "Burton and Taylor," airs Wednesday, October 16 at 9pm with Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West in the roles of the famous on-again-off-again Hollywood couple. Unlike Lifetime's "Liz & Dick," with Lindsay Lohan, "Burton and Taylor" focuses on a specific window in the lives of the fiery lovers, when they were embarking on their final performance today on stage in a revival of Noel Coward's "Private Lives" on Broadway in 1983.

BBC Four positioned the film in a much lighter fashion when it premiered in the UK in July, but the BBC America trailer, below, is all screaming fights and drama and it makes it look like a heavier and perhaps campier exercise. Take a look below.
