Or, at least, the TV special. Scott Aukerman, the creator of the brilliantly awkward interview web series "Between Two Ferns," announced on his most recent Comedy Bang Bang podcast that Comedy Central would be airing a May 6th special entitled "Between Two Ferns: A Fairytale of New York."
The one-off episode will feature Zach Galifianakis, natch, reprising his role as terrible celebrity interviewer and talking to Tina Fey, Jon Stewart and Richard Branson (!). Aukerman, who directed the special, noted of his new role behind the camera that "I tell you, my favorite word in the Engish language is 'Action.' Know what my least favorite word is? 'Cut.'" Aukerman's got his own new TV series, named after his podcast, starting on IFC on June 8th.
"Between Two Ferns: A Fairytale of New York" is airing May 6th at 8:30pm, before the Comedy Awards. One can only hope it reaches the heights of the Jon Hamm installment, below, in which Galifianakis poses a question I'm sure many an interviewer has wanted to ask before -- "Why?"
