Starz has dropped "Boss" and "Magic City" to head in the direction of the premium network's most popular (now ended) series, "Spartacus," pursuing brawnier blockbuster-style historical action with pirate saga "Black Sails," historical fantasy "Da Vinci's Demons" and the upcoming time travel romance "Outlander." "Da Vinci's Demons," which is the creation of "Batman Begins" and "Man of Steel" writer David S. Goyer, will be back for a second season in 2014, and the network premiered a trailer for the new arc at New York Comic Con this past weekend, one that shows the series ranging farther afield than Florence and Milan, as Da Vinci (Tom Riley) heads off to "save the future."
