Having made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Jane Campion's highly anticipated seven-part miniseries "Top of the Lake" heads to the Sundance Channel on March 18th at 9pm, where it will have a two-hour premiere. The New Zealand-set mystery features "Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss as Detective Robin Griffin, who's pulled into the investigation of the disappearance of a pregnant 12-year-old girl when she goes home to visit her mother.
Holly Hunter (who won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in Campion's 1993 film "The Piano"), Peter Mullan, David Wenham and Thomas M. Wright also star in the series, which was co-directed by Garth Davis. In the exclusive featurette about "Top of the Lake" below, Campion explains that "The desire to write a really clever, satisfying crime mystery story which had enough room to expand like a true novel was exciting to me."
