History has a hit on its hands with "Vikings," its period drama written and created by Michael Hirst ("Elizabeth"). The series is centered on Viking chieftain Ragnar Lodbrok (Travis Fimmel) in his battle for power. Indiewire's pleased to be able to offer an exclusive clip, below, from this week's episode, entitled "Answers in Blood" and airing Thursday, March 27.

In it, Ragnar admits he wants Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), the wife who left him when he took up with Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), to stay. The episode finds the pair uniting to fight to take Kattegat back from Jarl Borg (Thorbjørn Harr) while Aslaug faces the truth of her prophecies, Athelstan (George Blagden) struggles to define his faith and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) is faced with a choice.
