The news comes after only two aired episodes of "The Newsroom," which received lukewarm reviews (for instance, these from our own Alison Willmore and this less impressed one from New Yorker's Emily Nussbaum) and suitable ratings.
"True Blood" has been impressive in ratings in its fifth season, with Chris Meloni ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") as the leader of the vampire authority working toward a new goal -- mainstreaming with humans.

Newsroom is my favorite show on all TV channels. Please keep it coming.

I think we all expected it from TrueBlood, but I think it's fantastic news that The Newsroom has already renewed for a second season, this means Sorkin won't let us down with season 1!

I canât wait to see both second seasons, even though The Newsroom had lukewarm reviews, and True Blood sounds like it will be interesting as the Vampires mainstream with humans. I love HBO and particularly, I love these original series. I like to record both of them on my Hopper, as Iâm usually not at home to watch. I was excited when a Dish coworker suggested the upgrade. When I play both shows back Iâm able to start watching in the living room and continue watching on the patio. Talk about convenience!
