HBO today confirmed a Sunday, January 13 premiere date for the second seasons of both shows, with "Girls" airing at 9pm and "Enlightened" following at 9:30pm.
It's been a year since the first season of "Enlightened" kicked off in October of 2011, while "Girls" will be getting a faster turnaround, having started airing in April of this year. This will be the first time the two series are airing together -- and they do make sense as a pair, both half-hour female-led shows that delve into some serious discomfort comedy.
Both "Enlightened" and "Girls" are getting 10 episode seasons.
