Here's Your First Look at Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter as 'Burton & Taylor'

Dominic West ("The Wire") and Helena Bonham Carter ("The King’s Speech") will follow in the not-so-illustrious footsteps of "Liz & Dick" stars Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler when they take on the roles of Hollywood's most famously volatile couple in BBC America's TV movie "Burton & Taylor."

The film, directed by Richard Laxton ("Effie Gray") and written by William Ivory ("Made in Dagenham"), will be set later in the romance between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, when they were acting in an ill-fated 1983 stage revival of Noel Coward's play "Private Lives." "Burton & Taylor" will premiere this fall on the network, who this evening released a first photo of West and Carter in the roles. Do they look the part?

Wow! They sure do look the parts. And you can be certain this movie will be MUCH better acted than the Lindsay Lohan travesty. West has that brooding Burton look and Helena Bonham-Carter can do ANYTHING. She's a terrific actress.

Looks promising and obviously a much better bet than the other one. HBC will shine as Liz whereas Lohan fizzled. West looks the better Burton as well. BBC America needs to promote this well to overcome the previous Liz/Dick fiasco.

I wasn't at all interested in the previous incarnation.
