'Breaking Bad' and 'Downton Abbey' Top iTunes TV Bestseller List for 2013

'Breaking Bad' Ursula Coyote/AMC

The meth manufacturer and the subdued English drama -- "Breaking Bad" and "Downton Abbey" topped the iTunes bestseller charts this year, Apple announced today. The much-buzzed-about final eight episodes of the Bryan Cranston drama were the most purchased on the online service, but the very different "Downton" impressively managed to take the second highest spot on the list with its third season, which aired in the U.S. in January. The iTunes sales tend to be more reflective of cord-cutters who, rather than pay for cable television, purchase seasons once they hit the online store -- unsurprisingly, the majority of the titles on the list are from cable networks, with three from AMC, two from Showtime and two from FX on there.

1. "Breaking Bad": The Final Season, Deluxe Edition

2. "Downton Abbey": Season Three

3. "The Walking Dead": Season Four

4. "Game of Thrones": Season Two

5. "Mad Men" Season Six

6. "Homeland": Season Two

7. "The Big Bang Theory": Season Seven

8. "Sons of Anarchy": Season Six

9. "Scandal": Season Three

10. "Dexter": Season Eight

11. "Suits": Season Three

12. "Modern Family": Season Five

13. "How I Met Your Mother": Season Nine

14. "Pretty Little Liars": Season Four

15. "Justified": Season Four
