Liz Lemon is Getting Married: '30 Rock' Sends Out Wedding Invites

Could it be? After six and a half seasons, will perpetually unlucky in love Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) be getting married? NBC sent out the invite below announcing Liz's impending nuptials with Criss Chros (James Marsden), set to take place during the November 29th episode. After a romantic past that's included idiot beeper salesman Dennis Duffy (Dean Winters), Cleveland lawyer Floyd DeBarber (Jason Sudeikis), cripplingly handsome doctor Drew Baird (Jon Hamm), irritating British man Wesley Snipes (Michael Sheen), pilot Carol Burnett (Matt Damon) and others, it seems like Liz is happy enough with her sweet house boyfriend Criss to make him a house husband, as they continue to try for a baby together.

When speculating about what kind of ending we wanted for "30 Rock" now that it's in its last season, a wedding for Liz never came up, but the idea of Liz and Criss deciding on the fly to get married (presuming they're actually able to go through with it) is kind of nice. Their relationship doesn't involve the kind of compatibility she had with, say, Floyd, or the enjoyment of her being matched up with the bumblingly good-looking Drew, but she's happy and in a stable situation, two things her character seemed far from when the show began. But before "Mazal Tov, Dummies!" on the 29th, there's this week's episode "Aunt Phatso vs. Jack Donaghy," in which Tracy will go up against Jack -- and there's the perpetually attention-deficient Jenna's (Jane Krakowski) own upcoming wedding to consider.
