Mark Wahlberg Producing a 'The Fighter'-Inspired Reality Pilot for A&E

Remember in "The Fighter" when Micky's (Mark Wahlberg) swarm of blonde harpy sisters are led by his mother Alice (Melissa Leo) to the doorstep of his girlfriend Charlene (Amy Adams), who they deem uppity and a "skank" and are fully to prepared to battle with shrieked insults and hair-pulling because she "acts all fuckin superiah 'cuz she went to college"? Didn't they seem like prime fodder for a reality show?

Well, Mark Wahlberg apparently agrees. The actor, who currently serves as executive producer on "Boardwalk Empire" and in the past did the same for "Entourage," "How to Make It In America" and "In Treatment," is producing a reality series pilot for A&E inspired by the Ward siblings.

Deadline reports that the untitled "Mark Wahlberg Boston Women Project" will showcase a selection of the New England city's "real women," following four characters as they try to balance family, relationships and work while presumably always dropping their "r"'s. The half-hour project will be produced by Wahlberg's Closest to the Hole Productions company, and will be executive produced by Wahlberg and his frequent collaborator Stephen Levinson, alongside Bill Thompson and Stephanie Drachkovitch.

Wahlberg, Levinson and Thompson also recently completed another reality pilot for A&E, "Teamsters," about a Boston Teamsters union -- Wahlberg's father was a Teamster. Wahlberg and Levinson's Leverage Management are producing a pilot of an English-language remake of French costume drama "Maison Close" for HBO.
