And now Relativity Media and Bandito Brothers are looking to recreate that magic on the small screen by developing a TV series adaptation of "Act of Valor" that they're going to be shopping to both broadcast and cable networks. While the initial announcement doesn't specify whether an "Act of Valor" television show also would use real SEALs, it seems likely given that that was the film's whole shtick. Like the film, a TV show based on this concept offers the promise of authenticity while also feeling uncomfortably like a giant recruitment tool.
Per RelativityREAL’s CEO Tom Forman: "I was blown away by the realism and authenticity of 'Act of Valor.' We’re thrilled to work with the Bandito Brothers to make something more visceral than any other show on television."
"Act of Valor" will be RelativityREAL's second TV series adapted from a film -- they're also responsible for the upcoming "Catfish: The TV Show" on MTV. Additionally, the company is looking to adapt "Immortals," "Haywire" and "Movie 43" into potential series.
