Starz is currently in production for "Outlander," the new drama from "Battlestar Galactica" showrunner Ronald D. Moore, adapted from Diana Gabaldon's novel series of the same name. "Outlander" is an adventure and romance in which a World War II-era nurse named Claire (Caitriona Balfe) finds she has "fallen through time," as she puts it in the video below, to 18th century Scotland, where she meets and becomes involved with Jamie (Sam Heughan).
Gabaldon's bestselling series has a devoted fan following, and Starz initially premiered the teaser, below, to a gathering of nearly 2000 devotees of the books. The series will run for 16 episodes (which is long for a Starz original) and will air later this year.
