Los Angeles' longrunning television festival PaleyFest, presented by the Paley Center for Media, is coming to New York this year for the first time ever. "PaleyFest: Made in NY" will run from October 2 through 6th at the Paley Center in New York, with confirmed panel events including the casts and creators of "Orange is the New Black," "Elementary," "The Americans," "Small Empires with Alexis Ohanian," web series "The Outs" and "Boardwalk Empire."

As with the LA PaleyFest, PaleyFest: Made in NY's panel conversations will be streamed live globally during each program at paleycenter.org/live, with viewers able to submit questions via Twitter at @paleycenter using the hash tag #PaleyFest.

"Bringing PaleyFest to New York City after 30 incredibly successful years in LA is a dream realized for the Paley Center and we could find no better partner than the New York City Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment to highlight the amazing breadth of media produced in the City," said Pat Mitchell, President & CEO of The Paley Center for Media in the announcement. "The Paley Center’s mission to lead and curate the discussion about the importance of media will bring television fans unparalleled access to the hottest, most talked about shows on the air and foster a greater understanding of how these shows are created, cast, and delivered."

"New York City has truly become a TV town in recent years with more primetime episodic series filming on our streets than ever before," added Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment. "Working with the Paley Center to celebrate the 'Made in NY' series that call New York City home is the perfect way to kick off a season of new dramas and comedies and highlight the thousands of New Yorkers who make their living working in the local film and television industry." Tickets will go on sale to Paley Center members tomorrow, September 4th, and to the public on September 6th.
