Now Syfy's announced an air date for "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome," which will premiere on the network as a standalone TV movie on Sunday, February 10 at 9pm, featuring additional scenes that weren't in the online release, before heading to DVD.
Like "Caprica," Syfy's fascinating and flawed earlier "Battlestar Galactica" prequel, "Blood & Chrome" is set before the events of the main series, but in a closer and more familiar setting (and more lens flares). It follows a young William Adama ("Borgias" star Luke Pasqualino) as he first joins the Colonial fleet battlestar he'll come to command as a fighter pilot during the first Cylon war. Ben Cotton play Coker, the battle-scarred co-pilot the eager Adama clashes with, and Lili Bordán is also part of the cast.
Edward James Olmos played Commander William Adama in "Battlestar Galactica," which ran from 2004-2009.

Looking forward to this - just as long as they don't get bogged down in tiresome pseudo-religious crap again.
