Comedian Patton Oswalt, who recently signed on to a recurring role in the new season of "Justified," will also be paying a visit to "The Newsroom" alongside Rosemarie DeWitt.
According to Deadline, both Oswalt and DeWitt have taken recurring roles in the upcoming season of Aaron Sorkin's HBO workplace drama about "News Night," a daily show on the fictional Atlantis Cable News network starring Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill and others.
DeWitt will play a litigator named Rebecca Halliday who’s hired to defend ACN in a wrongful termination suit potentially worth millions of dollars. Oswalt will play Jonas Pfeiffer, ACN's new VP of Human Resources who, we're just going to guess, will be brought in to deal with some misunderstanding that's escalated to an HR complaint against one of the lead characters and quickly gets out of hand.
DeWitt and Oswalt also both appeared in "United States Of Tara" on Showtime. On the big screen, DeWitt recently appeared in Ry Russo-Young's "Nobody Walks," while Oswalt stars in Todd Rohal's "Nature Calls," which opens today.
