IFC has released a new trailer for its Funny or Die-produced miniseries parody "The Spoils of Babylon," based on the (fictional) bestselling novel of the same name by the (made up) author Eric Jonrosh.
The six-part saga tells the Moorehouse family's dramatic triumph to tragedy story. In the new trailer, below, the young Moorehouse son Devon (Tobey Maguire) melodramatically narrates his past from childhood to adulthood and the success he experienced until the reemergence of smiling pistol-hoisting Winston (played by Haley Joel Osment). In addition to Maguire, the series stars Jessica Alba, Will Ferrell, Jellybean Howie, Val Kilmer, Haley Joel Osment, Tim Robbins, Michael Sheen, Steve Tom and Kristen Wiig with a cameo by David Spade and the voice of Carey Mulligan. The parody series is executive produced by Ferrell, Adam McKay, Matt PIedmont, Andrew Steele and Nate Young. Steele and Piedmont wrote and created the series, with Piedmont directing.
"The Spoils of Babylon" will premiere Thursday, January 9 at 10pm ET/PT on IFC. Check out the latest trailer below:
