"The Walking Dead" ended the first half of its much-improved third season last night with a tense episode that promised an upcoming battle between Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) enclave at the prison and the Governor's (David Morrissey) not-so-bucolic-as-it-first-appears town of Woodbury. Even when you do all the dangerous work of clearing out a zombie-infested building so you can settle down, plant crops and raise your infant, other people have to come around and disturb your peace.

The teaser below for the second half of the season, which returns on February 10th, 2013 with eight more episodes, promises more conflict between Team Rick and Team Governor, while the sneak peak from the upcoming February return offers a glimpse of the captured Daryl (Norman Reedus) facing down an angry mob. Noooo, not Daryl!
