Watch: A New 'Homeland' Teaser Offers a Glimpse of Carrie Mathison's Splintered Psyche

When Showtime's excellent thriller "Homeland" ended its first season, it was with bipolar CIA operations officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) in the hospital and about to undergo electroconvulsive therapy, her confidence and sanity a wreck thanks to her investigation into returned POW Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) and his possible ties to Al-Qaeda member Abu Nazir (Navid Negahban).

The teaser below, for the second season kicking off September 30, suggests Carrie still isn't in great shape. According to Entertainment Weekly, the new season will pick up after she's spent six months in the psych ward.
