"American Horror Story" co-creator Ryan Murphy has unveiled the upcoming season three ("Coven") opening credits for his popular psycho-sexual FX horror series. "Can you spot the clues?" Murphy asked on Twitter.
Featuring the same spine-chillingly slow theme music, the video's "clues" hint as a narrative that includes animalistic voodoo rituals and a paranormal, Klu Klux Klan-esque presence. Whereas the first two seasons of "AHS" were somewhat more closely associated thematically, the latest credits signal a not-so-subtle shift in the anthology eries that serves only to elevate excitement over the October 9th premiere. Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Denis O'Hare, Frances Conroy, Zachary Quinto, Taissa Farmiga and Lily Rabe are set to return for the premiere along with new additions Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Danny Huston and Patti LuPone.
