Darren Aronofsky's controversial Biblical epic "Noah" hits theaters last night, and while critics debated the merits of his latest, Aronofsky himself promoted the film and goofed around on "The Colbert Report."

Darren Aronofsky's controversial Biblical epic "Noah" hit theaters today, and while critics debated the merits of his latest (and the responses range from Todd McCarthy's "vital and audacious" to Indiewire's own Eric Kohn's  "murky, ill-conceived"), Aronofsky himself promoted the film and goofed around on "The Colbert Report."

Aronofsky gets into who first inspired him to write about Noah, accepting the religious and mythic connotations within the story, and his unfamiliarity with that irritating "Noah's Arky Arky" song. Watch below (or on Comedy Central's site, if the video isn't loading):
