HBO is pairing the new season of "Enlightened" with "Girls" in the upcoming year, with the two female-led series returning Sunday, Jan. 13. Lena Dunham's comedy will lead off at 9 pm, with Mike White's following at 9:30.

It will have been more than a year off the air for "Enlightened," which closed out its first ten-episode season in December 2011. While it was well-received by critics, the series, which stars Laura Dern as an executive who returns to work after a professional meltdown and philosophical awakening, will probably benefit from its new proximity to the buzzier "Girls."

The trailer for the show's second season, below, looks pretty great, with Dern's Amy Jellicoe working to take down Abaddonn Industries from within to the sound of fun.'s "Some Nights."
