"I was driving home from work and I thought I saw Honey Boo Boo," Lawrence explained, saying that she was going past a breast cancer parade and thought the shirts the marchers were wearing -- which actually said "boobs" -- announced the name of the title character in TLC's notorious unscripted child beauty-pageant series "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." Lawrence was then looking so closely at a child in the event that she suspected might be Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson that she rear-ended the car ahead of her, though fortunately no one was hurt. She confessed to loving the TLC show as well as "Intervention": "I love any kind of TV that makes me feel better about myself, and Honey Boo Boo is perfect for that."
The 22-year-old Lawrence caused a stir among cinephiles when she told the New York Times earlier this month, "I like making movies, but that doesn’t mean I want to watch a black-and-white, freaking boring silent movie." Ironically, "Silver Linings Playbook" has been attracting "The Artist"-level Oscar buzz since its world premiere at the Toronto film festival in September.
