The premise of Jerry Seinfeld's new web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" really needs no further explanation -- as his first guest, his "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David says, "You have finally done a show about nothing."

In the first episode of the Crackle original series, which you can watch below, Seinfeld picks David up in a 1952 VW Bug and the two go out for lunch and chat about driving a stick shift, eating chicken and the contemplative nature of smoking a cigar. Watching the two old friends and collaborators shoot the breeze may not be emblematic of how the following episodes will go (the next one goes live on August 2nd), but it's awesomely charming. As Seinfeld puts it, "It's a miracle we ever got any work done, because nobody can waste time like you and me." Nobody indeed.
