Mike White's oddball comedy "Enlightened" returns to HBO for a second season in January (alongside season two of "Girls") for more of Laura Dern's impressive performance as Amy Jellicoe, a corporate executive looking to reinvent herself and improve life for those around her after a breakdown.

Diane Ladd, Timm Sharp and White are back, and are going to be joined in the new season by Molly Shannon and Dermot Mulroney as Amy looks to shake up Abaddonn Industries from the inside. "Let's win one for the little guys," she insists, but things on the show are rarely so straightforward.
