Where to Watch the First Episode of David Fincher's 'House of Cards' for Free Online
"The creative team in front of and behind the camera have delivered a riveting 13-chapter narrative that we're proud to present to Netflix members today," said Netflix's Chief Content Office Ted Sarandos. "By offering the first episode for free, including to non-members, we are opening up this fascinating world for everyone to see and are confident they'll want more."
We'd actually suggest that the show doesn't really get going until the third episode, but regardless, it's Fincher, Kevin Spacey and "Farragut North" playwright Beau Willimon, it's gorgeous and it's the first major scripted series Netflix has launched (aside from last year's "Lilyhammer"). The series was produced by Joshua Donen, Fincher and Eric Roth and Trigger Street Productions, Inc. in association with Media Rights Capital for Netflix.
