"The Red Road," the second wholly owned original drama from SundanceTV (formerly Sundance Channel), has a pretty excellent pedigree. Created by "Prisoners" screenwriter Aaron Guzikowski, who co-wrote the series with Bridget Carpenter ("Friday Night Lights"), the series stars Jason Momoa ("Game of Thrones"), Martin Henderson ("Little Fish") and Julianne Nicholson ("Masters of Sex") as residents of a small New Jersey town divided along lines of class and race and shaken up by a tragedy that binds the three characters together.
"The Immigrant" filmmaker James Gray directed the series premiere in his first television venture.
"The Red Road" premieres this week on February 27 at 9pm and will run for six hour-long episodes, but SundanceTV has put the series premiere -- entitled "Arise My Love, Shake Off This Dream" -- online in its entirety. It's not embeddable, but you can stream it for free on Sundance.TV ahead of its on-air debut.
"Rectify," SundanceTV's first venture into original scripted series all its own, returns for a second season this summer.
