As a part of Robert Rodriguez's recently-launched El Rey network, here's a trailer for the channel's first original series, albeit with an asterisk next to "original." Based on the Tarantino-penned cult film directed by Rodriguez, "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" continues the story of the Gecko Brothers, the Fuller Family and vampire Santanico Pandemonium.

The trailer shows plenty of familiar Rodriguez/Tarantino staples -- guns, blood, Big Kahuna Burger -- though the tone seems a bit more solemn than the original. With a few well-liked B-movie actors in its cast (Robert Patrick in place of Harvey Keitel, Don Johnson taking over Michael Parks's Sheriff Earl McGraw) and a handful of stranger picks (Wilmer Valderrama? Jake Busey?), the show is bound at least to inspire curiosity for fans of the original film. "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" premieres March 11th.
