Watch: A Sneak Preview of the Mid-Season Premiere of 'The Walking Dead'

"The Walking Dead" is due to return with the back half of its third season on February 10th -- eight episodes that will also be the last hurrah for showrunner Glen Mazzara, who's set to move on from the high-rated, high-turnover zombie drama.

AMC's released the following scene from "The Suicide King," the mid-season premiere, which suggests that despite the coming clash between Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group and that of the Governor (David Morrissey), there will also be some downtime to deal with the newest arrivals. And just in time -- given the show's impressive body count, fresh recruits are always needed.

My favorite show is finally back, and spoilers like this make me even more excited. I work at DISH with quite a few fans of the show, and I know they’ve felt the same way I have about this hiatus. At least I’ll be able to watch it when it airs, even with my wife and daughters’ TV lineups on at the same time. Our DISH Hopper lets us watch up to 4 programs at once, so TV compromising isn’t an issue in our household.
