Watch: Colin Firth Confronts His Troubled Past in the Trailer for War Drama 'The Railway Man'

Colin Firth stars as a troubled British World War II officer in the first trailer for "The Railway Man."

Check out the first trailer for "The Railway Man," starring Academy Award-winner Colin Firth as troubled British World War II officer Eric Lomax, who is captured by the Japanese in Singapore and forced to work on the on the Thai-Burma Railway. He's still suffering from the psychological trauma of war years later, when his wife, played by Nicole Kidman, encourages him to seek out his captor and tormenter to finally confront his past. Jonathan Teplitzky ("Burning Man") directs the film, which is based on Lomax's bestselling autobiography of the same name. The film recently had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
