'Argo' Leads San Diego Critics' Awards; Michelle Williams Surprise Winner For 'Waltz'

Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master" got a big thumbs up from the San Diego Film Critics Society, at least as far as their nominations were concerned. The film managed 9 nominations, including best picture, best director and acting nods for its three primary players.  The film was joined by "Argo," "Django Unchained," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty" in the best film category.

Ben Affleck's "Argo" led the winners of the San Diego Film Critics Society's awards, taking picture, director, adapted screenplay and editing honors.

The awards offered some unique winners overall, with Michelle Williams ("Take This Waltz") and Emma Watson ("The Perks of Being a Wallflower") winning the actress and supporting actress categories, respectively.
