The deal calls for six films in the horror, thriller, sci-fi and/or supernatural genres from Kevin Iwashina and Ross Dinerstein's production company Preferred Content and financier Content Film. All films will be produced by Dinerstein, with financing arranged by Content Films. The first film is set to go into production this spring.
Iwashina will represent the films in North America with Content Films' Jamie Carmichael. Content will handle all sales outside of North America.
"The Pact," directed by Nicholas McCarthy and produced by Dinerstein, is a modern-day haunted house tale based on McCarthy's short film, which premiered at last year's Sundance Film Festival.
