"Silver Linings Playbook"
Based on "the tremendous word of mouth," per The Weinstein Company, their Oscar-contender "Silver Linings Playbook" has received since its Toronto debut where it nabbed the coveted People's Choice Award, the company has decided to release David O. Russell's drama one week early in 10 markets (NY, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, DC, Miami, San Diego and Austin), ahead of its wide release on November 21st. The announcement was made by Harvey Weinstein and TWC President of Theatrical Distribution and Home Entertainment Erik Lomis.
"We are thrilled with the fantastic reception the film has received thus far," said Lomis. "Looking at the marketplace we thought we would take advantage of the great word of mouth and have some exclusive runs in advance of our wide release."
