The Guardian: Jake's progress

He's the crown prince of Tinseltown. A 24-year-old with acting in his blood - he even had driving lessons from Paul Newman. But Jake Gyllenhaal isn't content to live in the comfort zone Here, he talks to Fred Schruers about Hollywood dynasties, loneliness and kissing cowboys.

Would this guy be in the movies if it weren't for his dad? When they were talking that he was going to become the new Spider-man, I almost lost my lunch. Remember, this is America, and we have a right to our opinion. My opinion is this guy could not act his way out of a paper bag.
