So long, "Southland."
TNT has canceled its critically acclaimed cop drama "Southland" after five seasons. The series, which starred Michael Cudlitz, Benjamin McKenzie and Regina King, was created by Ann Biderman and was never, during its run, a giant ratings hit despite the praise it received in the press. It originally premiered on NBC in 2009, with TNT picking it up after it was canceled by the broadcast network.
"TNT has made the difficult decision not to renew 'Southland' for another season," the network said in a statement.
