"Little Boy," a powerful family film starring Tom Wilkinson and Emily Watson has been picked up by Open Road Films for U.S. distribution.
The film follows the life of a seven-year-old boy, played by newcomer Jakob Salvati, who will do anything to end World War II and bring his father home. It also stars Kevin James and Michael Rappaport.
"'Little Boy' is a truly uplifting movie that resonates with family audiences and we are thrilled to add it to our slate," Open Roads CEO Tom Ortenberg. said "Roma Downey and Mark Burnett [executive producers] are some of the most successful producers in this arena and we are looking forward to working with them on this project."
Open Roads handled distribution for Steven Soderbergh's "Side Effects" and Liam Neeson-starring "The Grey." No release date for "Little Boy" has yet been announced.
