Top 10 Indies in the iTunes Store This Week: 'All is Lost' Hits the List at #1

Each Monday we present you with the most up-to-date list of the top 10 (indie) movies in the iTunes store, combining rentals and purchases. This week, in its first week on iTunes, J.C. Chandor's "All is Lost" joined the list in the #1 spot. Also new to the list is Jill Soloway's "Afternoon Delight."

The top 10 indies in iTunes are listed below (number represents North American gross, where applicable):

1. All is Lost (Roadside Attractions, $6,206,804)

2. Kings of Summer (CBS Films, $1,315,590)

3.  Enough Said (Fox Searchlight, $17,550,872)

4.  The Spectacular Now (A24, $6,854,611)

    I know companies hold these numbers close to the vest (which is infuriating) but is there any ballpark estimate of how many dollars MIGHT be generated in the I-Tunes top 10? Like what's the low range and high range of money that might be generated for the #1 film on the list? And how much of that gets returned to the producers?

    Since we all want the film biz to be a more sustainable place to make a living, it sure would help to have better stats here to make more reasonable predictions on new films being packaged.

    Maybe at least for films released a year ago, after the info becomes less sensitive to the producers.
