Before We Saw the Trailer, We Thought: Clips and trailers for Ridley Scott's follow-up to "Prometheus," "The Counselor," have been making their way online over the past few weeks, offering a tantalizing preview of what's to come whilst shrewdly not revealing the machinations of the script, penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Cormac McCarthy.
And Now? With its October 25th release date nearing, a new international trailer has landed (hence the UK spelling the title), offering the fullest glimpse yet at the sure-to-be violent thriller that looks to be full of double crosses and brutal reckonings.
Scott's "Prometheus" star Michael Fassbender headlines the film as the titular attorney, who becomes embroiled in the drug trade, and soon finds himself in over his head. The ensemble cast (Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt all co-star) all appear to on point, with Diaz standing out from the pack as Bardem's feline-like squeeze.
