Before the Trailer, We Thought: Dubbed a "breakout masterpiece" by many who attended this year's Fantastic Fest, Eugenio Mira's "Grand Piano" has a premise so over-the-top, it merits attention. The film stars Elijah Wood as a famous concert pianist making his comeback after a five-year hiatus with a concert, only to discover that if he plays a single note wrong, a sniper will take him out. Indiewire called the film "sweeping" and "De Palma-esque" upon catching its world premiere at Fantastic Fest.

And Now? Those praises seem about right. Magnet's trailer for the film lures you in with its remarkably simple conceit and then lets 'er rip, with Wood sweating and fretting as he attempts to nail every note.

"Grand Piano" hits VOD/iTunes on January 30, 2014 and arrives in theaters on March 7, 2014.
