Trimark Grabs HandMade's "Man"

Trimark Pictures confirmed yesterday that it recently acquired North
American rights to HandMade Films' "The Man With Rain in His Shoes."
The deal was made at the American Film Market in Los Angeles.


The movie, which marks the directorial debut of Maria Ripoll, was
written by Rafa Russon and produced by HandMade and the Spanish company,
Ecisma. According to Trimark the deal was for a sum in the "low
seven figures."


The cast for "The Man With Rain in His Shoes" includes Lena Headey
("Mrs. Dalloway," "Face"), Neil Stuke, ("Century"), Douglas Henshall
("Angels & Insects"), Penelope Cruz ("Belle Epoque," "Live Flesh"),
Elizabeth McGovern, Charlotte Coleman ("Four Weddings And A Funeral),
and Mark Strong ("Century").


Among the other films recently acquired by Trimark are the Sundance
Film Festival award winner, "Slam," and "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss,"
another Sundance film.
