TWC's Radius Buys the English-Language Remake of "Pusher"

The Weinstein Company's Radius-TWC has acquired U.S. distribution rights to an English-language remake of "Pusher," which was the 1996 debut of "Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn.

Directed by Luis Prieto, written by Matthew Read and created with Refn's explicit blessing, the "Pusher" remake stars Richard Coyle, Agyness Deyn, Bronson Webb, Mem Ferda and Zlatko Buric. Radius plans a late 2012 release.

Radius Co-Presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego first championed Refn's "Pusher" while at Magnolia Pictures, where they acquired the "Pusher" trilogy for U.S. distribution.

"Pusher" is produced by Rupert Preston for Vertigo Films, and by Christopher Simon and Felix Vossen for Embargo Films. Refn is the executive producer.
